Brighton made it back-to-back league
victories at Bournemouth last weekend, moving up to sixth place in the process.
Southampton, meanwhile, led against
Liverpool on Sunday, but ultimately threw away all three points in a 3-2
defeat.
The Saints are becoming more and more
detached from the rest of the Premier League. They sit four points adrift at
the bottom, and five points from safety.
The hosts are unbeaten in their last four
meetings with Southampton, and will be expected to pick up all three points on
Friday night.
