Crawley is presently in an excellent run,
securing five wins out of their last six games, which include their recent
victories against Harrogate Town and Notts County.
In the match against Harrogate, they
bounced back from a 1-0 deficit to claim a 2-1 victory, mirroring this
achievement in their latest home game against Notts County.
Despite trailing for most of the match due
to Sam Austin's early 20th-minute goal, Crawley capitalized on Scott
Robertson's sending off, and managed to stage a comeback with successful
efforts from Klaidi Lolos and Ade Adeyemo.
As of the latest fixtures, Crawley is
placed 10th, two points below the playoff spots, with three extra games
compared to seventh-ranked AFC Wimbledon. A third successive home league win
could see Crawley climb into the playoff spots for the second time this season.
Conversely, Stockport's performance over
the past six matches has been less impressive, with just a single victory.
However, they have managed to avoid defeat in their past four matches.
After consecutive goalless draws against
Gillingham and Swindon Town, they secured a 1-0 victory over Newport County in
their latest home game. Even though they failed to secure a win in their recent
away game against Salford City, Stockport exhibited strength by bouncing back
from a 2-0 deficit to draw 2-2, thanks to goals from Ibou Touray and Isaac
Olaofe.
Accumulating 67 points out of 36 games,
Dave Challinor's team currently edges ahead of Wrexham and MK Dons due to goal
difference, but they are five points behind the leaders, Mansfield Town.
While Stockport has aspirations to close the deficit to two points at the top of League Two come Monday, winning may not be straightforward given they've claimed just two victories out of their last nine away league games.
