Manchester United vs Leicester City, Man Utd are overwhelming

Match Time:5/12/2021 01:00 Wednesday  (GMT+8)

English Premier League --  Manchester United   VS   Leicester City

-----------------------------------

1X2 Analysis:

With United playing three Premier League games in five days, coach Solskjær has confirmed that the team will have to rotate. On the other hand, Leicester City need to grab points to keep the top four positions, coupled with the team attack ranked in the front row of the Premier League. Therefore, Leicester City, with better physical reserves, vowed to take away three points in this game.

Handicap Analysis:

According to the two teams’ lineups, Man Utd have the obvious advantage, but also in terms of overall strength and experience. Although Man Utd were defeated by Leicester City in the FA Cup, considering Man Utd win several games in a row with high morale, on the other side, Leicester City have lost points consecutively, Man Utd have the better chance to win in this round.

1X2 Tips: Manchester United win

Manchester City vs Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Manchester City win

Match Time:5/5/2021 03:00 Wednesday  (GMT+8)

UEFA Champions League --  Manchester City   VS   Paris Saint Germain (PSG)

-----------------------------------

1X2 Analysis:

Not only did City win the first leg and have the advantage of rising in rank, but they also had two goals away from home, which will force PSG to play the attacking game in the second leg. But City have been one of the best defensive teams in the Champions League this season, conceding just four goals in 11 games and it’s trustworthy that scoring two goals per knockout match. City are expected to defend and find opportunities on the counterattack.

Handicap Analysis:

In the last 4 h2h games, Manchester City got 2 wins, 2 draws, 0 loss and won in the recent two games. PSG are almost impossible to reverse the promotion from City which play at home with the advantage of two goals away from home. I think City will win in this game and qualify for the Champions League final.

Manchester United prepare to announce three signings for the future

Manchester United hope to confirm the additions of three teenagers from abroad.

According to the iSports football API, the Red Devils are hopeful of signing Marc Jurado, Alvaro Fernandez and Isak Hansen-Aaroen.

United have already confirmed the signing of Joe Hugill from Sunderland and Radek Vitek from Sigma Olomouc.

The report claims United are waiting on international clearance for Jurado, Fernandez and Hansen-Aaroen. The latter became Tromso’s youngest-ever player at the age of 15 years and 319 days earlier this month, as per iSports football API.

See the source image

A source told: “Hopefully they’ll be sorted soon and we can get them confirmed.”

Although we have yet to see any first-team additions, I find it encouraging that United are signing youngsters from Spain’s two giants (Barcelona & Real Madrid, as well as them being players who were recently offered new deals to stay put. That means they decided to move on and join United.

These are talented boys who are coming to Manchester to further develop their careers. With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the wheel they can see a route into the first-team, and the club is very much built on believing in young players.

You never know which youngster will be next to break into the first team. For instance, we didn’t know much about Brandon Williams before his emergence this season.

Southampton finalise 8-figure signing after agreeing £35K-a-week deal

Southampton have agreed the signing of Mohammed Salisu from Real Valladolid after finalising personal terms, Football Insider can reveal.

The Premier League club will pay the £10.9m (€12m) release clause in the Ghanian centre-back’s contract, according to iSports API football data.

A Southampton contract has told Football Insider the club have also agreed a long-term deal with Salisu worth £35,000-a-year.

He is expected to join the club in the coming days although he cannot be formally registered until a work permit is obtained.

See the source image

Salisu is a left-footed centre-back who stands at 6ft 3ins and has been a mainstay of the Valladolid team this season.

As per iSports football API, he started 30 of their 38 La Liga matches after graduating from their B team.

French club Rennes had been the main competition for the Ghanaian defender but Salisu made it clear he wants to play in the Premier League with Southampton.

Manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has prioritised strengthening his side’s central defence this summer.

Southampton have carved out some impressive results either side of the lockdown and climbed to 11th in the Premier League table following their 2-0 win over Bournemouth yesterday.

But Hasenhuttl’s side have conceded 59 goals in their 37 league matches, and have moved to rectify that ahead of the official opening of the window next week.

Man City 'close' to signing Bournemouth's Nathan Ake

Manchester City are close to agreeing a deal for Bournemouth centre-back Nathan Aké.

As per iSports football API, the 25-year-old is expected to becoming Pep Guardiola’s first signing of the summer transfer window, according to The Guardian.

Guardiola is believed to be keen on strengthening his defence after a poor showing this season, and has been linked with a move for Aké repeatedly in the past.

See the source image

The report states that City will pay a fee in the region of £35m for the former Chelsea defender.

Bournemouth’s relegation to the Championship was all but sealed following the 2-0 defeat to Southampton on Sunday, and will now find it almost impossible to keep hold of the Dutch international, according to iSports API football data.

Aké arrived at the Vitality Stadium for £20m in 2017 and has made 121 appearances for Eddie Howe’s side.

Barcelona offer Coutinho in swap deal for Guendouzi

FC Barcelona are offering Philippe Coutinho in a swap deal for Matteo Guendouzi, with both club hierarchies seemingly keen on the idea.

French outlet Foot Mercato claim Barcelona are discussing a swap deal with Arsenal between Philippe Coutinho and Matteo Guendouzi. The two clubs are talking about the deal ‘in a concrete way’, according to the report from iSports football API.

Coutinho is keen on a return to England, whilst Guendouzi is an outcast in Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side. A mixture of off-field behavioural problems, the on-field incident with Neal Maupay and his inability to make amends leave him out of the squad completely.

See the source image

Edu Gaspar is reportedly a big fan of Coutinho, and Arsenal established contact with his advisers over a move many months ago. Meanwhile, the Barcelona hierarchy are long-term admirers of Guendouzi, so it seems like a decent match.

Guendouzi himself is still unsure of his next step, and he’s prioritising the ‘sporting project’ of any potential new club.

Some Arsenal fans have already shown hesitance to the deal as well. The idea of losing a young talent for a player entering his prime may have short-term benefits, but it could also look like bad business a few years down the line.

According to iSports football API, Coutinho scored nine goals and assisted eight in 34 games this season. That’s certainly a big upgrade on any current Arsenal midfielder’s output. We know he can produce those kinds of numbers in the Premier League too.

For now, it’s just a rumour. Most of the recent reports lean more towards a loan move for Coutinho, if Arsenal even hold an interest at all. But it’s an interesting one to consider.

Tammy Abraham has put contract talks with Chelsea on hold

Transfer expert Ian McGarry has claimed that Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has put contract talks on hold, until he gets a clarity on his situation from manager Frank Lampard.

Abraham, a product of the Chelsea youth academy, has had to wait for long to break into the first-team. As per iSports football API, after several loan spells away at Bristol City, Swansea City and Aston Villa, the Englishman got his big break in 2019/20.

And he grasped it with both hands, establishing himself as the club’s lead striker in the first half of the season. However, injuries and dip in form since the turn of the year have seen Abraham lose his starting spot to Olivier Giroud.

See the source image

With the Frenchman signing a new one-year contract and Chelsea also recruiting Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, Abraham now finds himself questioning his standing at the club. And, as a result, he has put contract talks on hold, claims McGarry.

Although Abraham activated an extra year on his current five-year deal owing to appearances and goals scored recently, this is certainly an interesting development, as per iSports API football data.

Given Giroud’s current form, he deserves to be in the starting XI. And when Werner arrives, he is going to assume the first-choice role. So, how Lampard handes the Abraham situation remains to be seen.

Watford sack Nigel Pearson with only two PL games remaining

Watford have taken the remarkable decision to sack Nigel Pearson with just two games of the Premier League season to go, as per iSports API football data.

A statement from the Vicarage Road club said: “Watford FC confirms that Nigel Pearson has left the club with immediate effect.

“Hayden Mullins, with Graham Stack as his assistant, will take up the position of interim head coach for the Hornets’ final two Premier League fixtures of the 2019/20 season.”

See the source image

Pearson replaced Quique Sanchez Flores in December – who had in turn replaced Javi Gracia a few months earlier – and had revived their season after a dreadful start.

But now, with the club three points above the relegation zone with a pair of games remaining, the board have parted ways with Pearson.

According to iSports football API, the former Leicester manager’s last game in charge was Friday’s 3-1 defeat to West Ham.

AS Monaco appoint Niko Kovac as their new head coach

AS Monaco have confirmed the appointment of Niko Kovac as their new head coach on a three-year contract with the option for a possible extension.

According to iSports API football data, one of Monaco’s prime concerns last term was their poor defensive record and they conceded the joint-fourth most goals (44) during the course of the league season.

That is something which the club will have to improve upon, if they are to make the push for the European places and most particularly, for the top three positions which offer a route to the Champions League.

See the source image

The Croatian, who was previously with Bayern Munich, has taken over the hot seat from Robert Moreno, who was dismissed from the managerial role shortly after Monaco’s 2-0 win over Cercle Brugge in a pre-season friendly.

The Principality outfit have been unable to compete against Ligue 1’s best over the past two seasons and they finished a lowly ninth during the 2019/2020 campaign which was curtailed after 28 games because of the coronavirus outbreak, as per iSports football API.

“AS Monaco are pleased to announce the arrival of Niko Kovac as head coach. The Croatian has signed on a 3 year contract with an option to extend,” a statement on the club’s official website read.

Monaco have already started their preparations ahead of the new league season and Kovac has around a month’s time before the club’s opening clash against Reims at home.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sets new post-Ferguson record

Manchester United’s 2-0 win against Crystal Palace this evening extended the side’s unbeaten run to 19 games.

It is a significant run, not just because of the timing, as the Red Devils push to win a top four place in the Premier League, but also because it is the longest unbeaten run since Sir Alex Ferguson retired seven years ago.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tenure as United manager has seen a number of good runs and bad runs, but the team seems to have finally found consistency since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes in the January transfer window.

See the source image

According to iSports football API, the Norwegian has some catching up to do to match Sir Alex’s best, though, as he led the side to two 29 game unbeaten runs, once in the treble winning season of 1999 and the other in 2010-11.

United won the Premiership on that occasion as well, with Dimitar Berbatov ending the season as the league’s top scorer along with former Red, Carlos Tevez, who was playing for Manchester City. Both scored 20 goals, as per iSports API football data.

Solskjaer’s new record came as a result of incredible forward play from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial and some steely defending, in particular from Harry Maguire and David de Gea.

It was not a performance for the connoisseur but United ground out a win when it mattered, something they have also not always been able to do since Sir Alex retired.

United will hope to extend the run to 20 on Sunday when they face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final.

Leeds on the brink of Premier League promotion

A fourth win on the bounce means Leeds United are now just one point away from promotion to the Premier League,as per iSports football data.

The Yorkshire giants beat rivals Barnsley on Thursday to edge ever closer to a top flight return.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side were dominant throughout the first-half and took a deserved lead when Barnsley defender Michael Sollbauer turned a dangerous low cross into his own net.

See the source image

The Tykes were much improved after the break and a nervy Leeds, who lost Hélder Costa to injury, failed to keep control of proceedings but held on to their narrow lead.

One of the biggest clubs in England, Leeds have been absent from the top flight since relegation 16 years ago, according to iSports football API.

Last season they were desperately close to promotion under Argentine Marcelo Bielsa, and he has once again led the team superbly this campaign.

With two games remaining, the Whites sit five points clear of West Brom and six ahead of third-placed Brentford.

Real Madrid clinch LaLiga title with tenth win in a row

Real Madrid continued their stunning run on Thursday to beat Villarreal and clinch the LaLiga title.

Two goals from Karim Benzema helped Madrid secure a tenth win in a row, securing their 34th LaLiga crown.

According to iSports football API, it is the 11th trophy in total the club have won with Zinedine Zidane in charge.

Sergio Ramos and Benzema in particular have been crucial during the run-in, scoring five goals apiece in the nine fixtures since Spanish football returned last month.

The title is just the second for Los Merengues in the last eight LaLiga seasons, as per iSports API football data.

Attention will now turn to the return of the Champions League, with Madrid 2-1 down heading into their last 16 second leg against Manchester City in August.

Elsewhere, rivals Barcelona suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at home to 10-man Osasuna.

Marcus Rashford to make history with honorary degree

Marcus Rashford is enjoying an excellent season on the pitch but has become even more influential off of it in recent months.

The Manchester United and England forward has been working to feed some of Britain’s most vulnerable people during the coronavirus pandemic, according to iSports football API.

As well as working with FareShare to help distribute 3.9 million meals, it was pressure from Rashford that saw the British government overturn a decision not to feed disadvantaged kids over the summer.

See the source image

Food vouchers redeemed during the school year were set to stop over the summer holidays, until Rashford spoke up.

His efforts are now set to be recognised by the University of Manchester, it was announced on Wednesday.

Just 22, Rashford will become the youngest  ever recipient of an honorary degree from the university, as per iSports API football data.

Rashford will follow in the footsteps of United legends Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Bobby Charlton in receiving his honorary degree from the city’s university.

Nuggets star Nikola Jokic clears quarantine in NBA's Orlando bubble

It took longer than the Denver Nuggets were expecting, but All-Star center Nikola Jokic cleared quarantine and joined his team to watch Tuesday night's practice in Orlando, Florida.

Jokic still has to undergo physical testing by the Nuggets before he is cleared to practice, as per iSports API basketball data. But while talking to reporters for the first time since the season came to a halt in March, the Nuggets' franchise player was in a light-hearted mood, clearly excited to be in Orlando.

Jokic had to go through quarantines in Serbia and the United States, had multiple tests to produce negative results and endured travel issues after testing positive for coronavirus while he was in Serbia.

Jokic said the positive test came as a surprise, since he was feeling asymptomatic at the time, in late June, when he tested prior to when he was scheduled to fly back to Denver.

See the source image

Jokic did not fly with the Nuggets on their team flight to Orlando because of travel issues. Once at the Walt Disney World Resort, players have to quarantine for up to 48 hours and test negative two more times if they fly privately to Orlando, per NBA mandate. If a player flies commercially to Orlando, he must have three consecutive negative tests before resuming basketball activities.

The Nuggets remain short-handed as Malone said the team is awaiting two negative tests on some members of the team travel list who did not accompany the team to Orlando.

But the Nuggets have their biggest piece with them. Jokic raised eyebrows during the NBA hiatus when photos of his leaner physique went viral. He said he is in the same shape -- give or a take three to five pounds -- that he was in when the Nuggets last played, on March 11.

Jokic -- who averaged 25.1 points, 13.0 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 1.1 steals in the playoffs last season to help the Nuggets fall one win short of making the Western Conference finals -- said he is not allowed to reveal his current playing weight due to team policy.

According to iSports basketball API, last year during his breakout postseason, Jokic said he preferred his playing weight at about 275-280 pounds so that he can bang inside against big centers.

Opponents might not be laughing if a leaner and lighter frame means a more potent Jokic. As per iSports NBA data, Jokic is averaging 20.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 1.2. steals for the third-place Nuggets (43-22).

Former United defender Antonio Valencia offered to Flamengo

Flamengo have a reputation of bringing in the big names and a former Manchester United defender has reportedly been offered to the South American champions.

According to various livescore sources in Brazil, Antonio Valencia’s representatives have been in touch with Flamengo, Corinthians, Internacional, São Paulo, and Palmeiras.

See the source image

According to iSports football API provider, the 34-year-old is now a free agent after terminating his contract with Ecuadorian giants LDU Quito earlier in the month.

Valencia only joined LDU Quito last summer after spending a decade at Manchester United, winning nine trophies including the 2011 and 2013 Premier League titles and the 2017 Europa League crown.

There have been no official offers for the player, who can be utilised anywhere on the right side of the pitch, though he still mainly plays right-back.

Rockets' Russell Westbrook tests positive for coronavirus

Houston Rockets star guard Russell Westbrook announced that he tested positive for the coronavirus before the team departed for Walt Disney World, according to iSports basketball API.

Westbrook, co-star James Harden and recent addition Luc Mbah a Moute did not travel with the Rockets to Orlando, Florida.

The NBA announced coronavirus test results Monday. Of 322 players tested since arriving in the Orlando bubble, two were positive and have left the campus to isolate at home or in isolation housing. The league said that since July 1, 19 players have tested positive, as per iSports NBA data.

See the source image

Coach Mike D'Antoni said Sunday he hoped all three of his affected players would be able to arrive at the NBA bubble in Disney World within three or four days. The Rockets had declined to specify a reason for the players' absence.

The players will have to quarantine in their rooms for 48 hours after their arrival before practicing with the Rockets.

D'Antoni said the three players were working out "at their home bases," and he expressed optimism that their delayed arrivals wouldn't have a significant impact on the Rockets, particularly once the playoffs begin.

With iSports NBA API, the Rockets are also without forward Bruno Caboclo, who inadvertently broke the initial quarantine period, and must remain in his room for eight more days before joining team activities.

Real Madrid only one win away from La Liga title

Real Madrid are one win away from winning their 34th La Liga title after beating a resolute Granada side 2-1 on the road on Monday night, recorded by iSports API.

The win restored Real's four-point lead over Barcelona in the table with just two games left to play, meaning a home win on Thursday can put the title out of reach for the two-time defending champions.

The visitors wasted no time pulling ahead, with Ferland Mendy finishing off a nice individual move in the 10th minute by smashing his shot from a tight angle into the roof of the Granada net for his first Blancos goal, as per iSports football API. Real Madrid players celebrate with Ferland Mendy after he scored a goal against Granada in La Liga.

See the source image

Minutes later, Real doubled their lead on a counter-attack through Karim Benzema, who cut to his right in the hosts' penalty area and curled a perfect strike past Rui Silva.

Granada pulled one back to start the second half after Darwin Machis snuck in behind the Real Madrid defence and split the legs of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to cut their deficit to a goal.

According to iSports football livescore API, it was the first goal Real had conceded in six matches but Granada threatened to equalise as Machis missed the target on the volley while Courtois showed superb reflexes to deny forward Antonin late on.

Real Madrid were made to work hard to see out the result and had Ramos to thank for sweeping a Ramon Azeez shot off the line in the 84th minute as Zinedine Zidane's side picked up a nervy three points.

Zidane celebrated wildly when the full-time whistle came and praised his side for coping with Granada's late onslaught.

The result puts Madrid on 83 points after 36 games and gives them a chance to seal a first La Liga title since 2017 on Thursday against Villarreal, as per iSports football data.

Two draws in the last two games can also secure the title for Madrid due to their better head-to-head record with Barcelona.

Kawhi Leonard in quarantine protocol after arriving in Orlando

Kawhi Leonard is in Orlando, Florida, and going through the quarantine protocol before joining the LA Clippers for team activities.

Coach Doc Rivers confirmed Saturday that the Clippers' All-Star forward did arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort as expected after Leonard was excused by the team to tend to a family matter when the Clippers flew to Orlando on Wednesday, according to iSports NBA data.

Rivers said the Clippers players who are in Orlando are healthy, including Leonard. And that was something he could not say for much of the season. Leonard has managed a knee issue for much of the time, and Paul George eased his way into the season as he recovered from offseason surgeries on his shoulders.

See the source image

But George said his shoulders are 100 percent and that the Clippers benefited from the four-month hiatus amid the coronavirus pandemic to let nagging injuries heal. Rivers would not say how the Clippers plan to ramp Leonard back up for postseason play.

As per iSports NBA API, the Clippers (44-20) went through their second practice on Saturday as they resume their title chase. Guard Lou Williams said the Clippers held a team vote on whether to even go to Orlando and take part in the NBA restart.

Williams was "50-50" about whether to play again because he, like some other players around the league, feared that games could distract from the protests around the country against social injustice and police brutality. Williams voiced his concerns about the league being able to promote Black Lives Matter and continue the momentum the movement had.

"They always try to turn it into the military or the police," Rivers said. "There's no league that does more for the military than the NBA. But how about that senator? I'll make up a challenge. We will do things for the troops as long as he acknowledges Black Lives Matter. I think that would be really cool for him to do.

What API could provide live streaming data for sports game?

If you’re looking for live streaming sports videos like the NFL, NBA, and more, then I think you’ll have a really tough time incorporating those into your app. Simply because most of those leagues have their own live streaming platforms, and are very strict about who can and cannot use their content.

If you’re looking for live streaming sports data, there are a few different APIs to get scores on current games happening. The important thing will be testing the API for your specific use case to see which one will work well for you.

Most data provider have a basic free plan that will allow you to use the API for free, up to a certain number of API calls.
