Manchester City have won their last three Premier League matches without shipping a single goal - while also scoring 11 at the correct end of the pitch. They edged Leicester City to a narrow 1-0 victory in their previous game. RB Leipzig were swiftly dispatched by Liverpool in the last 16 in the last season. RB Leipzig will travel to the Etihad off the back of consecutive losses in Bundesliga. They’ve just shipped four goals at home to Bayern Munich after the international break. A 4-0 thrashing of Stuttgart represents the only silver lining in Leipzig's season so far. Leipzig have lost three of their last four Champions League games away from home without scoring a single goal.

Manchester United on the other hand are having an exceptional run in the current Premier League where they’re placed third on the points table. Manchester United won their first game with a 5-0 margin against Leeds United. Manchester United enter the match off the back of a 4-1 win over Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday while they bagged a 1-0 tie against the Wolves before that.

Everton vs Burnley ----- English Premier League

Everton's well-oiled machine will seek a third Premier League win in four matches when they welcome Burnley to Goodison Park for Monday's top-flight battle.

Being eighth in the rankings, Everton have started their new campaign on a great note. After comfortably dispatching Southampton and playing out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Leeds United, Everton travelled to the South Coast to take on Brighton, getting a 2-0 win at the end. Burnley were the last safe team in the top flight the previous campaign, and they remained winless in 28 of their total 38 fixtures. Coming to 2021-22, they have a 100% losing record barring a draw. On last time out, Burnley drew 1-1 against Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United in the league. Prior of that game, they shared a goalless draw with Newcastle United. Burnley had conceded two or more goals in these three fixtures.

Collecting seven points from their opening three fixtures, Liverpool have made a strong start and occupied fifth position. Liverpool's start to the new season has been impressive, as they opened their campaign with a comfortable 3-0 success over Norwich City before running out 2-0 winners over Burnley at home one week later. On last time out, Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw with 10-men Chelsea. 

Birmingham City vs Derby County -------- England Championship

Birmingham City play host to Derby County on Friday evening with the opportunity to move into third position in the Championship standings.

Birmingham City went into the international break and played out a 1-1 draw against Barnsley last time out, which kept them at 8th in the table. Coming back to home turf this weekend, Birmingham City are looking for their first win of the season after the 0-2 loss to Bournemouth and goal-less draw with Stoke City. Derby County

Derby County’s poor start to the season continued last time out as they played out a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest. They won only 1 game so far with the remaining 3 being draws. Derby County were dumped out of the EFL Cup in their previous outing courtesy of a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Sheffield United. Improvements must be made in the attacking third as they average under 1 goal per game. 

FIFA World Cup qualification (CONMEBOL) -- Brazil vs Peru

After the suspension of Sunday's clash with Argentina, Brazil return to action on Thursday, when they play host to Peru in World Cup Qualifying.

With seven straight victories, Brazil have a flawless record in the CONMEBOL qualifiers. They began with a 5-0 thrashing of Bolivia and a 4-2 win over Peru. Brazil cruised through the group stage of the continental tournament comfortably, with a draw against Ecuador being the only blemish as they collected 10 points from four games. Then they beat Chile and Peru 1-0 in the quarter-finals and semi-finals respectively. On last time out, Brazil took to their training drills after the suspension of their game against Argentina
 
 
 
Peru 

Peru are currently in seventh place in the qualification table and cannot afford another string of defeats this year. Peru come into the game on the back of a creditable pair of results, as they firstly drew 1-1 with Uruguay in World Cup Qualifying in the first game after their Copa America exit. They defeated Venezuela 1-0 on Monday, taking their tally to eight points from eight games after a slow start to the World Cup Qualifying campaign in 2020. 

FIFA World Cup qualification (UEFA) -- Poland vs England

Wednesday sees England travel to Warsaw to face off with Poland in a 2022 World Cup qualifying game.

Now boasting 11 goals from their last two games thanks to their previous 4-1 thrashing of Albania earlier this month, Poland have cemented their spot in second place. They have strung together a seven-game winning streak at home in World Cup qualification - scoring at least two goals in each of those encounters. They won their last two qualifiers: they put seven past San Marino in a 7-1 thrashing on Sunday night, before that, they had beat Albania 4-1 at home.
 
 
 
 
England

With 15 points taken from a possible 15 in World Cup qualifying, England have opened up a five-point gap at the top of the rankings. England made it five wins from five and back-to-back 4-0 victories against Andorra at the weekend. Prior of that game, they visited to Hungary’s place and won 0-4. England have amassed a 12-game unbeaten run away from home at this stage.
