UEFA Champions League -- Paris Saint Germain (PSG) vs RB Leipzig

Paris Saint-Germain are set to play RB Leipzig at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

 

Paris Saint Germain (PSG) sit pretty atop the Ligue 1 rankings with 10 wins from 12 in all competitions this term. They were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw with Club Brugge on matchday one. However, Paris Saint Germain marched to a 2-0 win over Manchester City in their most recent European contest. So far, they have recorded of six wins from six Ligue 1 encounters this term and  scored at least two goals each time.

 

 

 

 

RB Leipzig

With only three wins to boast from their last 10 games in all tournaments, RB Leipzig lost 1-2 to Brugge at home the last game week in the Champions League. As for their domestic league, RB Leipzig drew 1-1 against Christian Streich's Freiburg in the Bundesliga. RB Leipzig are also on a five-game winless run away from home since beating Sandhausen in the DFB-Pokal back in August.

 

RB Leipzig whose league form has not been fantastic have endured a slow start under new manager Jesse Marsch. In contrast, Paris Saint Germain's talent means that they are the favourites to win almost every game they play this season.  

Arsenal VS Crystal Palace

In the last round, although Arsenal was tied 0-0 by Brighton and the momentum of four consecutive wins was terminated, they are still unbeaten in the last five games. Now Aubameyang and Lacazettehave returned and the strength of the team has naturally doubled. In addition, they have just won the London derby with Hotspur at home, they have won three home games in a row, and the morale is very high.

 

 

 

 

Crystal Palace

On the Crystal Palace side, the focus of this season has also increased a lot with Vieira taking over. Newcastle United are yet to taste victory in the new season and are currently 19th in the Premier League table with just three points after seven gameweeks. They lost 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers on last time out.

 

 

 

 

Tottenham Hotspur record in London derbies is already looking bleak following three successive defeats to Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Arsenal last month. However, in their predceding game, the Spurs claimed a confidence-boosting 2-1 win over Aston Villa. They had scored two or more goals in three of their past four overall games.

 

 

Newcastle United are yet to post a win this new season. Besides, Spurs have  only lost one of their previous eight league meetings against Newcastle United. Therefore, it’s believed that Tottenham Hotspur ought to be able to secure this win.

France Ligue 1 -- Paris Saint Germain (PSG) VS Angers

PSG has led Ligue 1 with 24 points after nine rounds this season, up to 6 points ahead of Lens in the second. But they lost 2-0 away to Rennes in the last round of League, ushering in the first defeat of Paris season. Messi, Neymar, Mbappé and Di María put on a strong offense formation, but the team's back line was unstable and lost in the end. FIFA World Cup qualification (CONMEBOL) -- Argentina VS Peru

Argentina won 3-0 Uruguay at home in the last round and has been unbeaten for 24 consecutive games in various competitions recently. They rank No. 2 in the table temporarily, and the prospect of qualifying is bright. Messi has scored 80 goals for the national team after scoring goals last game, becoming the first South American player to score 80 goals in the team. Giovani Lo Celso has also contributed five assists in this qualifier, tied for the top with Neymar.

 

 

 

 

Peru is only 4 points away from No. 5 Colombia in the championship, is still expected to compete for qualification. The last round's away 0-1 defeat to the weak team Bolivia caused a certain blow to morale and confidence. They only beat Ecuador in the last 10 away games, and the other were 1D-8L. FIFA World Cup qualification (CONCACAF) -- USA vs Costa Rica

Their impending WC Qualifiers - N & C America tie sees United States facing opposition in the form of Costa Rica on Wednesday.

 

USA

Prior to the trip to Panama City, the USA had gleaned eight points from their opening four Qualifying fixtures. And they have won 14 of their last 15 home games across all tournaments - with the one exception being a 1-1 draw with Canada last month. On Sunday, USA were given a humbling 1-0 loss away from home against Panama.

 

 

 

 

Costa Rica's bid for a fifth World Cup Finals appearance in six editions got off to a morale-depleting start with only three points and one goal from their first four fixtures. There were only three goals scored in their last seven matches in all competitions and their last three games away from home have ended 0-0. In their previous game, Costa Rica beat El Salvador 2-1.

 

 

Two teams have already faced each other once this year, and just like in four of the last five head-to-head matches between them, the USA won the match. And given their recent states, expect the home team will go on their journey to win. 

FIFA World Cup qualification (UEFA) -- England vs Hungary

England are set to play against Hungary in Tuesday’s big WC Qualifiers - Europe meeting.

With 19 points gleaned from seven matches in Group G, England have cemented their position at the top of the rankings. England come into this game on the back of a 5-0 win over Koldo Alvarez's Andorra yesterday. They are on a remarkable streak of 12 successive World Cup Qualifying victories on home soil. England have scored 14 and conceded just one in four World Cup Qualifying battles.

 

 

 

 

Hungary 

After suffering their third defeat in four qualification matches, Hungary sit fourth in the rankings. Their victory over Andorra on September 9 represents their only win from their last eight in all tournaments. Hungary succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Albania last time out.

Though Hungary nearly qualified from their group, and earned global praise for their performances, England were simply a class above and should have too much for any opponent. They will be the favorites to win the game.
