Analysis:

The World Cup 2022 last-16 stage will get underway on Saturday afternoon when the Netherlands and the USA square off.

 

Netherlands

With seven points from three games, Louis van Gaal's team won Group A to guarantee their place in the round of 16. The Netherlands have amassed a remarkable 18-game unbeaten streak in all competitions after being eliminated from Euro 2020 by the Czech Republic.

 

USA

In Group B, the USA finished second to England. Their victory over Iran was also their first triumph in six games across all competitions. In fact, the USA hasn't defeated a UEFA team at a World Cup since 2002; instead, they've drawn with them six times and lost five times.

 

Prediction

Gakpo and the rest of Van Gaal's crop are still a very formidable opponent due to their ruthlessness. We can only imagine the Netherlands moving on to the quarterfinals thanks to their strong defensive record.

FIFA World Cup Group G - Cameroon v Brazil Match Preview

 

 

Analysis:

Group H is down to the final game to see which nations will end in 2nd place to gain entry into the knockout. Brazil, they already qualified and won't feature key players such as Neymar, I doubt they will play seriously in this final Group H game.

 

This world cup so far we had seen strange results, such as Japan beating Germany, Tunisia beating France, and Saudi beating Argentina. It doesn't sound like Cameroon beating Brazil is not impossible.

 

Cameroon must beat Brazil and hope Switzerland loses to Serbia at the same time in order to qualify, not impossible but chances are slim.

 

Brazil so far all games resulted in under 2.5 goals in the group stage, they are good at attacking but not many goals. I expect this game will result in under 2.5 goals simply because worldwide bookies did not open a higher Asian Goal Line than 2.75.

FIFA World Cup Group H – Ghana vs Uruguay on 02/12/2022

 

 

This should be the highlight of a match in this World Cup, forget everything else guys as most of you would know this match between Ghana and Uruguay in the final game of Group H is a war. Angie was still a student back in 2010 watching this famous game when Uruguay’s Luis Suarez used his hand to block a goal-scoring opportunity in the 119th minute in extra time and denied Ghana from qualifying for the Quarter Finals in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Times flies and Angie is no longer the sweet teenager no more, how sweet were the old days?

 

Ghana – the Black Stars knows today's game is revenge over their robbery back in 2010, they will do everything they can to qualify and force Uruguay to be eliminated from the World cup, Group H game today a draw will be good enough for Ghana to qualify into the last 16th. Ghana beat South Korea in a thrilling game by 3-2, the African Black Stars were 2-0 up but defensive errors allowed South Korea to peg back to 2-2. Thanks to Mohammed Kudus' strike in the 68th minute to make it 3-2 to Ghana.

 

Uruguay - very disappointing shows in this world cup, they have yet to score a single goal. Both Darwin Nunez and Luis Suarez showed no quality whatsoever in the game against South Korea (0-0) and were badly beaten by Portugal (0-2) in the last match. Uruguay must beat Ghana and hope South Korea does not get a better result than they do. Uruguay expects to go all-out attack, they know Ghana will play defensively today.

 

Odds Analysis

 

Ghana ranks 61st in the FIFA World Ranking, whilst Uruguay ranks 14th. Most bookies opened Asian Goal Line initially at 2.25 goals, however as Group H decider down to the very last game, Asian Goal Line upgraded to standard 2.5 goals with odds also lowering. Pretty much in line with Angie’s expectations.

Analysis:

Argentina and Poland will face off at Stadium 974 on Wednesday with the goal of winning Group C and advance to the round of 16.

 

Poland

Lewandowski finally celebrated his first World Cup goal on Saturday as Poland defeated Saudi Arabia 2-0. Poland's victory on Wednesday would ensure them the group's top spot and a berth in the round of 16, and if Saudi Arabia fails to defeat Mexico, a draw would well be sufficient to finish at the summit.

 

Argentina

Four days after the unexpected 2-1 loss to Saudi Arabia, Argentina made a critical 2-0 victory over Mexico on Saturday. If Argentina wins all three points against Poland and Saudi Arabia fails to defeat Mexico by a margin greater than Scaloni's team, they will finish first in Group C and advance to the knockout stages.

 

Prediction

The only thing the Argentines need is a win. It will be difficult for the visitors to break through a very strong Polish national team defense and outstanding goalie because their positioning assaults are still lacking.

Netherlands will take on Qatar at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor in the last match on Group A of the World Cup.

Netherlands leads the group table but are level with Ecuador on total points and goal difference. They beat Senegal 2-0 in the opening round of this tournament, then were drawn by Ecuador in 1-1. Netherlands are coming off a 17-game-unbeten run, winning 12 times and scoring in each of these matches.

 

Qatar

Qatar have suffered their second defeat when they lost to Senegal with 1-3 last outing. In the last two rounds, they just scored 1 goal but conceded 5 goals totally. And they failed to win in four out of their last nine matches.

 

Prediction:

Netherlands would quality into the last 16 even if drawing this game. Qatar have a poor since this World Cup, thus I will back Netherlands in this clash.

FIFA World Cup - Portugal vs Uruguay Prediction

 

 

Analysis:

Portugal will play against Uruguay on Monday after the victory over Ghana in the last week.

 

Portugal

They have got 7W-1D-2L this year. The two defeats were from Spain and Switzerland in UEFA Nations League. In their most recent match against Ghana, they won by a slim margin of 3-2 thanks to three goals from different players.

 

Uruguay

They tied with South Korea 0-0 in their opening World Cup game. It seems that they played carefully. Since there hasn't been a match scheduled since July, they have played a lot of friendly games to maintain their state.

 

Verdict:

They last crossed paths at the 2018 World Cup. In the 1/16 Final, Uruguay eliminated Portugal. Portugal are ambitious now. It is believed that Portugal are going to win in the upcoming game.

Analysis:

Poland will play against Saudi Arabia at the Education City Stadium Al Rayyan in the second round of Group C in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

 

Poland

Poland just ended their opening match with a goalless draw from Mexico on Tuesday. They gained a penalty in the second half but the striker, Robert Lewandowski, was ultimately be denied from the spot by Guillermo Ochoa so that they fell a 0-0 result. Coming from three-match-unbeaten run, the Polish wants to extend this good run by this clash.

 

Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia created a greatest upset by beating Argentina by 2-1 in their opening match of this tournament. With stable defenses, the team has only conceded 5 goals totally in their last 10 matches across all competitions. However, in their last four World Cups on group stage, they have lost to all European teams and have at least 1 defeat in each tournament.

 

Prediction:

Under the Coach Renard, Saudi Arabia may be cautious, while Poland also have solid defenses, and they didn’t show enough attacking danger when against Mexico, so I don’t expect many goals here.
