West Ham United
Picking up eight points from their opening four matches, West Ham United have occupied eighth position in the table so far. They started their campaign with two consecutive victories over Newcastle United and Leicester City respectively. However, they were held to draws in their next two fixtures against Crystal Palace and Southampton. West Ham are undefeated in their last five competitive games and come into this encounter on the back of a 2-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League.
Manchester United suffered a 2-1 loss to Young Boys in their opening group-stage fixture on Tuesday. However, they are at the top of the standings in the Premier League 2021/22 winning three of their four games. Ronaldo netted twice on his second debut for the club in a 4-1 success over Newcastle United at home last weekend, while Manchester United have also beaten Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers, in addition to drawing with Southampton, in the early stages of the new season.
