UEFA Champions League -- Atalanta vs Manchester United

 

Manchester United are set to play Atalanta at Old Trafford on Wednesday in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

On matchday 3, Atalanta still were 3-2 defeated by Manchester United even  scoring twice in the first half. The result has left the them in third position in Group F, level on points with second-placed Villarreal and just two behind leaders Man United. Atalanta have played three Serie A matches since the clash in Manchester, drawing with Udinese and Lazio, in addition to recording a 3-1 victory at Sampdoria.

 

 

 

 

Manchester United are currently top of Group F, collecting six points from their first three matches. Manchester United suffered a 2-1 loss to Young Boys in their Group F opener on September 14 but have managed to collect maximum points in their last two matches, coming from behind against Villarreal and Atalanta. In their previous game, they beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 in the English Premier League.

Atalanta are missing some important players, but they remain one of the better teams in Italy right now. Though they got a win over Tottenham on last time out, Manchester United remained extremely vulnerable at the back. Therefore, expect both teams to score should be a good choice in this game.
