The weekend match against Belenenses 3-1 defeat and they had the advantage of being able to rest some of their players against the second leg champion league at Anfield. Benfica is going to face one of the toughest clubs at Anfield with history offering lttle hope, as Benfica have won just one quarter-final away leg in any UEFA competition (W1, D2, L6) with the heaviest defect (1-4) in 2009/10 Europa League trip to Anfield.
