Analysis:
Sunderland A.F.C
It took Sunderland long period of time to fall back into the England Championship but they have made a great start in their bid to remain there. Sunderland getting back in the second tier of English football is a good thing for the league given the size of their club and the way they kick start the season shows they belong at this level. At least this game should be a decent confrontation in front of a great crowd.
Queens Park Rangers (QPR)
Queens Park Rangers (QPR) have only managed
to win one of their league games. However, with 3 competitive games played QPR
notably was unable to win either of the 2 games on the road, they were defeated
on opening day to Blackburn Rovers and were knocked out from the League Cup
after losing to League One side Charlton Athletic on penalties. Queens Park
Rangers maybe have set their sights on a top six finish at the beginning of
this season, but it already looks like they will have their work cut out to make
that a perfect reality. Anyway, it is still very early and a victory in this
clash would quickly put their past 2 away matches in the rear view mirror.
Verdict :
Sunderland A.F.C have really made a strong
start back in the Championship having taken 4 good points from their first 2
matches and they will hope to bank another three points when the referee blows
the final whistle. I quite believe believe this will be a low scoring affair.
Sunderland have not seen 3 goals in the past four home game. Meanwhile QPR last
five away games fall under the 2.5 goals cut off. The last 3 H2H duel between
both teams have also seen under 2.5 goals.
