Italian Serie A - Sampdoria v Roma

 

Analysis:

Another new week with another chance to get a profitable start, Angie staying in Italy this week with more Italian analysis to come. Monday night I expect Roma to triumph over Sampdoria, odds on an away win somewhat classed as a value bet for bettors to recover from their weekend losses. Bookies are normally generous on a Monday night without fixing any games.

 

Sampdoria's woeful season looking set to continue, as their long-term partner Genoa has already been relegated to Serie B, the city of Genoa looks glimmer than ever if Sampdoria also facing relegation. The host had yet to win a home game this season.

 

Roma isn't that strong away from home either, however, with the opening Asian Handicap track at -0.75, bookies are clearly confident of an away win result. If the away win odds initial open were priced at 1.85+, I would have avoided this game.

 

With the result in AH (-0.75) on Roma they had passed 3 in last 5 AH, same as Sampdoria. Given the fact the host is struggling, I believe in Roma.
