Giovani Lo Celso is out with a leg injury, while Francis Coquelin has a knee injury. Nicolas Jackson will miss out due to a muscle problem. Gerard Moreno and Filip Jorgensen are both doubts with a calf and shoulder injury respectively.

Manu Trigueros is suspended after picking up a red card against Mallorca.

Villarreal

Villarreal's losing streak extended to four games in embarrassing fashion as they lost 4-2 to Mallorca, now dropping below them in the table. The Yellow Submarines were already 2-1 down at half time and playing with 10 men after Trigueros was shown a straight red. Quique Setien's side are now closer to the relegation zone than they are to the top four.

 

Getafe

Getafe moved out of the bottom three with a vital 1-0 win over Valencia. Mayoral scored the winner late on in the game to lift them above their opponents and into a safer position. It was their first win of 2023, but Getafe have still not won an away league game since October.

 

Prediction

When the two sides met in August, the match ended goalless. Getafe have not beaten Villarreal since 2019.
