Los Blancos has never won a league title in a row since 2008 and completed the 2022-23 season in second place, ten points behind FC Barcelona. They ended the season with a positive record, winning the Copa del Rey but that was not good enough for clubs like Real.

 

Thanks to the victory over the Napoli Serie A champion in the last eight, Milan reached the Champions League semifinals for the first time since 2007. Stefano Pioli's side was then removed by their neighbor Inter in the semifinals, but last season can be described as a successful season given the club's reluctance to spend money to buy big players.
