Analysis:
Crystal Palace
Season after season, Crystal Palace is not in the first half of the table in the English Premier League, but they still routinely manage their best to stay in the elite. It is much possible that it will be the same occurrence this season because they showed quality performance in the previous round by drawing 1-1 against Liverpool FC. Not a many predicted that Crystal Palace would be able end their losing streak against Liverpool but They were well organised and frustrated Klopp and co-players. An effort from Zaha against the run of play put Crystal Palace 1-0 up at the halftime and things went from bad to worse for the Liverpool in the 57th-minutes when Darwin Nunez was shown a straight red card. However, shortly after that, Diaz leveled for Liverpool and Crystal Palace had to see out the remaining time to make sure they took home a share of the spoils. The season is long, but it seems that some players such as Eze and Zaha can be of great support.
Aston Villa
Aston Villa had great ambitions last
season, but it was noticeable that they burned themselves out in too much
desire. This season Aston Villa is once again very competitive. Aston Villa
were given much of a test by Everton last outing, well, not in the first half
at least, as Ings scored just after the half-hour mark to put the home side 1-0
up at the break. Everton created the better chances in the second half but a
goal from substitute Buendia put Villa 2-0 up 4-minutes from time. Everton
continued to push forward and pulled a goal back via an own goal from their
former player Digne and the visitors nearly pitched a point at the death but
Villa held on to see out their 2-1 victory. With the victory over Everton, they
made up for the loss against Bournemouth in the last round.
Verdict:
Both matches of the Crystal Palace at the
beginning of the season ended in a low scoring. The last time when these both
teams met final score was 1-1 and something similar is expected here. Aston
Villa comes to London with at least one point and should not be expected to
push too hard in attack. One point would be enough for both teams, so a home
win double chance will be very good alternative option in this match.
