Everton will host Dynamo Kiev for their friendly on Friday at Goodison Park as the start of the Premier League season approaches.

The Toffees defeated Championship team Blackpool last time out to record their first victory of the series of friendlies after suffering back-to-back losses. Everton will be aiming for significant gains in the forthcoming term after only just surviving relegation from the Premier League at the end of the previous campaign, ultimately finishing 16th, four points clear of 18th-placed Burnley.

 

Dynamo Kyiv

With a victory over Fenerbahce in the second leg, Dynamo Kyiv most recently progressed through the Champions League qualifying round. In 2021–22, Kyiv were unable to even finish the league season. Up before the tournament's cancellation, they had only suffered one loss and were just two points behind the leaders.

 

Prediction

As a result of their success on the continent, Dynamo Kiev will travel with momentum. However, Everton will be eager to win at home one more time before the start of the league season, and I predict that they will win at Goodison Park.
