​UEFA Europa League -- Arsenal vs PSV Eindhoven Game Preview

 

 

Analysis:

In their postponed match against Dutch powerhouse PSV Eindhoven on Thursday night, Arsenal will continue their European responsibilities with only a point needed to guarantee a top-two finish in the Europa League.

 

Arsenal

Arsenal currently in first place not only in the Premier League standings, but also in the Europa League standings after racking up nine points from three games. This puts them two points ahead of  Eindhoven and five points ahead of Bodo/Glimt, whom they also defeated 1-0 last week. Arteta's man has won seven straight games in all competitions and nine straight at home with two goals on each occasion.

 

PSV Eindhoven

PSV continued to play at a high level and destroyed Utrecht 6-1 in the Eredivisie to maintain their lead over defending champions Ajax and make it four straight victories across all competitions. A win on Thursday would put them six points ahead of Bodo/Glimt.

 

Prediction

The teams are on the verge of moving on to the next round, and both coaches like aggressive play. This game should have a lot of goals. The visitors have suffered some significant losses; Arsenal is performing somewhat better in this regard.

Germany Cup - Hannover 96 vs Borussia Dortmund Preview

 

 

Analysis:

A Bundesliga2 club will fight against a bundesliga 1 club for a Germany Cup game tonight. That’s Hannover 96 vs Borussia Dortmund!

 

Hannover havn't faced a Bundesliga team in a very long time. They have kept participating in the Bundesliga2. In each of their last 16 competitive games, they scored at least one goal.

 

Concerns regarding Dortmund's fronts in the European, Bundesliga, and Cup are causing Edin Terzic problems. Dortmund have chance of moving on but not sure. The Champions League may receive more attention from them.

 

As Dortmund take the upper hand over Hannover in the past head to head games with a record of 7W-1D-2L, Dortmund will probably win with low scoring.

​Spanish La Liga -- Elche vs Real Madrid Game Preview

 

 

Analysis:

Real Madrid will travel to Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero to take on the bottom-of-the-table Elche in the tenth round of the championship.

 

Elche

Saturday's 2-2 tie with Valencia was disappointing for the hosts because they might have won all three games. Elche changed their management in the beginning of the month, but it wasn't until October 12th that they actually had a new boss. But after nine rounds, Elche are still the only team in the league without a victory.

 

Real Madrid

Real Madrid are already three points ahead at the top of the league following a 3-1 victory against Barcelona. Carlo Ancelotti's team is producing results in an impressive manner as they attempt to defend their championship, having only dropped two points so far this season. They are unbeaten in their past 18 competitive games.

 

Prediction

Real Madrid look to be unstoppable right now, so Carlo Ancelotti's team shouldn't have any issues traveling to the LaLiga team in last place. Expect goals from a visiting team that is full of confidence as the most prolific offense confronts the most vulnerable defense.

Italian Serie A - Sampdoria v Roma

 

Analysis:

Another new week with another chance to get a profitable start, Angie staying in Italy this week with more Italian analysis to come. Monday night I expect Roma to triumph over Sampdoria, odds on an away win somewhat classed as a value bet for bettors to recover from their weekend losses. Bookies are normally generous on a Monday night without fixing any games.

 

Sampdoria's woeful season looking set to continue, as their long-term partner Genoa has already been relegated to Serie B, the city of Genoa looks glimmer than ever if Sampdoria also facing relegation. The host had yet to win a home game this season.

 

Roma isn't that strong away from home either, however, with the opening Asian Handicap track at -0.75, bookies are clearly confident of an away win result. If the away win odds initial open were priced at 1.85+, I would have avoided this game.

 

With the result in AH (-0.75) on Roma they had passed 3 in last 5 AH, same as Sampdoria. Given the fact the host is struggling, I believe in Roma.

German Bundesliga - Eintracht Frankfurt v Bayer Leverkusen

 

 

Analysis:

Both teams are eager to win this game to move up the league table as the two of the big name in Germany going head-to head today. I expect a goal-rush kind of result as both teams had not performed as well as they should have been so far this early part of the season.

 

Eintracht Frankfurt loss in mid week Champions League to Tottenham narrowly put them off course to qualify, back at home soil, the league game is a lot more important than their cup run.

 

Bayer Leverkusen is much worse in terms of league position as they are only outside the drop zone, with too many games lost as well as bigger defeats, their defense is lacking solidity at the back, expect they will not keep a clean sheet.

​Italian Serie A -- Torino vs Juventus Game Preview

 

 

Analysis:

On Saturday, Juventus will face the host Torino at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.

 

Torino

Torino come into this match after a 1-1 draw in Serie A against Empoli. Torino's offense has not been as productive recently. Just four goals have been scored against them in their last six games. They also have had nine goals scored against them in those contests. Torino have failed to win at home in their last tow league game.

 

Juventus

Juventus will be hoping for a better outcome this time after their last Champions League meeting against Maccabi Haifa ended in defeat. In five of their previous six games, they have been scored against, giving up a total of eight goals. Juventus just hasn't been very reliable on defense. For the previous six league games, they have failed to win on the road.

 

Prediction

Torino will have to put in a lot of effort as a unit to score against this Juventus club, who will probably win and may even keep a clean sheet.

UEFA Europa League - Feyenoord v Midtjylland

 

 

Analysis:

Group F of the Europa League is still wide open, all 4 teams are on exactly 4 points with Feyenood leading the group just on goal differences. Today I expect Feyenoord to prevail without too much troublesome from visitor Danish side Midtjylland as they are not so strong away from home.

 

Feyenoord was a bit lucky from last week's away game at Midtjylland with a late draw denying an away win. Today back at home, I am going to expect an easy home win. Odds on home win at 1.55 average is in line with my expectation. This game Feyenoord should also be able to clear off the Asian Handicap at -1
